Shared DataOver the years, I've often gotten requests from undergrad and graduate students asking for access to a slice of the survey data for a stats course they are enrolled in that requires analysis of a large data set. I've shared data informally with these students in the background, but I figured it would be helpful to others if I put up the data here. This particular data set of 3400 responses was gathered in January of 2005 and covers the basic demographics, game-play related issues, motivation variables, and questions related to problematic usage. By downloading the data, you agree to reference the source of the data as "The Daedalus Project by Nick Yee, available at http://www.nickyee.com/daedalus/docs/shared-data.php" (or a similar phrasing) in any work that contains the data or analysis of the data. Download the data set and the code book. Both are in Excel format.
